I now have the turbo installed and connected to the intake plenum. I need oil to my turbo so I have a 4an inlet from the block and a 10an hose for the return to the oil pan. I will have to install an oil pump later for the force return to the oil pan. So far so good everything seems to be lining up nicely.
Now that I have all of my turbo parts painted and the gaskets in, I can go ahead and assemble everything. I started with putting some high temp heat barrier between the turbo bracket and the frame. I also put in the gaskets and bolted it all together. Next up the turbo…

One step closer to finishing up the turbo exhaust plumbing. I have had the header and downpipe completely sealed up by a local shop using TIG welds. As I put everything together I am porting out the inside of all the components. All I need is gaskets and and a few bolts to complete the custom exhaust.
The custom fab-up of the stainless exhaust system is now complete. I have finished tacking everything into place and now I need to get it TIG welded to seal it up. Again you can see the custom intake.
I have now completed the exhaust run from the head to the T3 flange input to the turbo. I have one piece left to install, a 6″ flex coupling to increase the flexability of the exhaust because the turbo is solid mounted to the frame. Once this piece is delivered I will complete the exhaust. You can also see the custom intake mounted to the head.
I now have the fabrication complete on the custom intake. I am now focusing on the exhaust system. I am using 2-45 degree bends of 2.5″ stainless tubing. The exhaust will travel under the motor and meet up with the turbo flange towards the rear of the car. I am slowly getting there.
I am getting closer to having the intake plenum completed. I have one side completely boxed in and the deflection plate ready to weld in. All I have left to do is box in the other side, seal it up and paint it.
Intake construction continues. I now have the runners welded completely to the mount plate and the intake plenum itself. I sealed up the welding spots with JB weld to insure that there are no leaks. I have also constructed the throttle body mount plate.
I have bolted the mounting plate to the fiber spacer plate and smoothed out the transition. I also cut out the 4 intake runners and made sure that they are exactly the same size and shape. I tacked all 4 runners onto the mounting plate and then held the main intake tube up to the runners and marked the back side for where the holes should be. I will now cut out the holes, small at first, and then tack it all together.
