I have finished building the front MR2 strut mounting brackets. I had to cut the mounting bolts down a bit for better clearance but I can now test fit them under the VW bug fenders before I build the strut link member.

Hello Tim… I bought a 71 beetle with a mr2 motor installed in it already,..i got it in victoria tx,..it sat for a year or so before i bought it so needless to say it needed a lot of work (body and motor). Im having a little problem with the wiring harnesses. it basically had “dreadlocks” and spliced crap everywhere,.. would it be easier to take everything out and get the body back to good shape, then buy a new wiring harness for the motor and install it?? and if so, whats the minimum amount of wiring I would need just to get the motor to work properly without having a bunch of wires I dont need? please e-mail me if you can help me out or call me @ 361 737 1363….
