VW bug finally primered start assembly #474

I have now painted the VW bug with 2 coats of advantage black epoxy primer. I then surface sanded the entire car with some 320 grit wet sanding paper. I am now in the process of putting the car together to insure everything functions perfectly before putting the final paint job on.

VW bug masked off and ready for primer #473

All of the initial body work is now complete. I am priming the doors, deck lid and hood first. I painted the back side of all the panels before turning them over to do the front side. I then placed the bug in my home made paint booth and started the painting process. I have final sanded, cleaned and masked off the entire vehicle ready for primer.

Continue work on bug body – power steering hose #382

Work continues on the VW bug body. I cut a bit more out of the body rails to accommodate the front sway bar mounts. I also got my power steering hose back from being crimped. Getting closer everyday to painting the inside of the big body.
