This has been a long time coming, but I finally got the VW bug running. All in all it runs pretty good but will still need some tune up. To do that I need to get it on the road so I am continuing with all of the other systems. Got the horn now I need the wipers.
I just randomly found this page when i was thinking of wierd things to do to a vw and googled the wheelbase of a vw bug and a mr2 and saw this page in one of the links, looks like someone had the same idea before I did 😛
its nice to see how well it looks can’t wait to see it with fenders, is the mr2 much wider than a type 1?
Yeah the rear end is about 6″ wider than the original VW so I had to flair the rear fenders 3.5″ on both sides. Go to you tube and see my page or the home page of my web site to see a preview from last fall. Thanks for looking and good luck.
