The Toyota MR2 flywheel and crankshaft needed to be secured (keep from spinning) in order to torque down the crank bolts. I used a small piece of wood backed up with a bolt turned sideways against the tranny locating pin in the block.
I can now install the Toyota MR2 3SGTE flywheel. It had to be machined twice, once for the bolt holes and once for resurfacing.
I have cleaned and painted the Toyota MR2 transmission. Ready for rear end drivetrain mockup on the VW Bug.
I finally get my Toyota MR2 2.2 Stroker engine back from ATS Racing. I am also getting some more parts ready to start the VW Bug rear drivetrain assembly.
While still waiting on my toyota MR2 engine to return, I am spending some more time aligning and planning the VW Bug front end assembly. The conduit is temporary for alignment only.
More work on locating where the Toyota MR2 front suspension components will reside under the VW Bug body.
After getting back some brake parts, I have started assembly of the front end components. These are the MR2 parts being fit into the VW Bug.
