I finished constructing the front and rear drivetrain boxes. After carefully lineing up and squaring everything, I bolted the boxes to the floor.

Clean and paint most of the rear end parts to get ready for the motor to be returned from the build shop (ATS Racing). Show constructed rear wheel box that contains both rear wheel boxes.

I have now removed the VW Bug body and set it aside for storage. I have also replaced the internal “body hollows” location devices. Getting ready for chassis assembly.

Finish up the rear basket and mark all other locations inside the VW Bug body. I need to know where the doors, dashboard and firewalls are when the body has been removed.

Construction of the rear basket is important. It allows me to see the internal body lines of the VW Bug body. I can set this basket on at any time during the build.

Finish positioning all 4 wheel boxes. And create materials to locate the hollows inside the bug body. Use markings on the concrete to show body location with respect with the wheel boxes.
